A delightful New Zealand production of the much-loved children's
classic written by James Barrie. The ballet is set in Neverland and
features an exquisite score by Philip Norman. The set and costuming
is based on designs from Edwardian children's books and includes a
deserted island, pirate ship, underground in Neverland and a flying
scene complete with evening stars. "It takes Russell Kerr's
choreographic imagination to tease every layer of wit and
caricature from such a tale and turn it into dance. He animates the
picture book without missing a single nuance that lurks in the
themes behind the words but leaves the dancers plenty of scope to
