Ginny Gan
Born and raised in Singapore, Ginny Gan began dance lessons at
the age of eleven. Her enjoyment of ballet grew and she came to New
Zealand in 2005 to begin professional training at New Zealand
School of Dance. After graduating she returned to Singapore to
dance with the Singapore Dance Theatre, in her four years with the
company Ginny has performed many lead roles including Odette in
Swan Lake and the Lilac Fairy in The Sleeping
Beauty. Ginny joined the Royal New Zealand Ballet at the start
of 2011 and danced lead roles in Verdi Variation in The
TOWER Season of Tutus on Tour and Blue Fairy in The
Meridian Season of The Sleeping Beauty.
Her career highlights include working with Edwaard Liang from New
York City Ballet on As Above, So Below which
includes a pas de deux he created on her, she also danced with La
La La Human Steps in their 2008 production Amjad.
