Rory Fairweather-Neylan
Rory, from Queensland, Australia, joined Royal New Zealand
Ballet in 2007. He attended The Australian Ballet School and later
enrolled at the Queensland Dance School of Excellence. He
went on to further his training at New Zealand School of Dance. In
2007 he was a finalist in the Alana Haines Australasian Awards and
was granted a scholarship to attend the Royal Winnipeg Ballet
School's summer programme. Rory was also awarded the Solo Seal from
the Royal Academy of Dance.
Rory's performance as Peter Pan in the company's 2009 production
met with critical acclaim, The National Business Review noting he
"gave a stunning performance as the cheeky, athletic Peter Pan."
Rory has also performed the roles of Mercutio in Romeo &
Juliet and Pinocchio in TOWER Tutus on Tour in
2011.
