Grants from trusts and foundations, including those distributing
funds generated through the gaming industry, play an increasingly
important role in supporting the work of the Royal New Zealand
Ballet.
We are especially grateful to The Lion Foundation for their
significant support of our national education programme, Dance
Explorer, and to The Todd Foundation for their long-standing
support of dancers at the beginning of their professional careers
through The Todd Scholarship. We would also like to acknowledge the
generosity of Pub Charity for its significant contribution to our
national touring costs for major productions and the operating
costs of the RNZB's home base at Wellington's St James Theatre.
The support of Community Trusts from Auckland to Southland helps
to ensure that we can continue to be a truly national organisation,
delivering the same high standards of performance regardless of the
venue. In recent years, grants from regional trusts have assisted
with touring costs, the hire of orchestras to accompany full-length
productions and venue hire.
The assistance of smaller and family-led trusts, both at the
regional and national level, is gratefully acknowledged, and makes
a real difference to our work, both onstage and behind the
scenes.
If you are involved with a grant-making organisation that might
consider an application from the Royal New Zealand Ballet, please
